What would your customers say they love most about your business?
Besides giving them a professional place to work with all types of amenities, we help create and facilitate personal and professional networking with other like-minded people in our community. This leads to many benefits that help people improve both their overall work-life balance in many ways. Real personal relationships are being formed and real business is being done on a daily basis for the benefit of all of our members.
What is something most people don’t know about the business?
Most people think that this is the only thing I do. My main business is a story marketing consultancy called Tell Your Story. CoWorkers is a hobby business of passion and love that happens to make a few extra bucks.
What do you love about this neighborhood?
Working in the village center gives you the opportunities to learn things about Wilmette that other people don’t know. You get to know the owners of other businesses and get the inside scoop of what’s happening. We are also 2 blocks from the Metra station and steps from all of our great restaurants and shops. And for most of us, we are only a mile from home so we can get home quickly if needed.
What attracted you to downtown Wilmette to establish your local business?
Proximity to my home and the feeling that the Village Center was showing incredible signs of momentum, which it still is.
Why do you think it is important for people to shop local?
Shopping locally is the right thing to do for many reasons. Not only does it stimulate your local community — where you live, work and play — but also helps attracts more businesses into the area. It also helps attract new families to the areas which leads to many things like better schools, parks and resources.
